(GEARY, NB – May 29th, 2022) – Danny Chisholm (Canning, NS) took home the victory in the season opening Samuel, Son & Co. 50 for the Cross Roads Maritime League of Legends Tour Sunday at Speedway 660. Chisholm won his heat race and made the eventual winning pass in the first half of the 50-lap feature on Josh Langille (Coldbrook, NS). Tour Rookie Gage Gilby (Enfield, NS) was able to retake the runner-up spot on a late race restart but could not run down Chisholm for the victory. Owen Mahar (Hubley, NS) outdueled Langille for the final podium position. Tanton Wooldridge (Summerside, PE) completed the top five at the Geary, New Brunswick oval.
Gilby joined Chisholm as EIT Race Radios Heat Race Winners. Gilby was the Rookie of the Race, besting a half dozen rookie competitors in the 12 car field.
In INEX Bandolero competition, Ayden Christensen (Windsor Junction, NS) used a well timed move with two laps to go to take home the feature win. Chase MacKay (Bear Cove, NS), who won the heat race, was second with Hailey Bland (Lakeview, NS), Mandi Lee (Fredericton, NB) and Hudson Ruff (Saint John, NB) completing the top five.

The next Cross Roads Maritime League of Legends Tour event is on Saturday, June 4th as the Series heads down the Trans Canada Highway to Petty International Raceway in River Glade, New Brunswick. The C.A.R.S. Automotive 50 is Round Two of 12 of the Series and has a post time of 4pm.
