Speedway 660 is proud to announce that Austin Theriault, one NASCAR’s up and coming bright young stars, will visit the Geary Woods on SpeedWeekend. Theriault, who made his NASCAR Nationwide Series debut earlier this season, will suit-up in the Re/Max 250.
“Speedway 660 has experienced a real youth movement this year and we are thrilled to have one of the best young drivers in our sport come to race in the Re/Max 250” said Speedway 660’s Max Roy. “JR Motorsports has recognized Austin Theriault’s talent and hired him to run three races in their Nationwide car, so we are excited to be able to bring this young man to Speedway 660 for our biggest event of the year.”

Theriault’s Super Late Model success in 2013 included three Pro All Star Series (PASS) wins. His victories came in the Rumble in the Pines at Southern National Motorsports Park; the South Carolina Clash at Dillon Motor Speedway and; the PASS 400 Championship Race at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Maine. His win in the South Carolina Clash came by way of a last-lap pass that resulted in the closest finish in PASS South history. Theriault finished the season with three wins and eight top ten’s in 25 races.
“Growing up in Maine I heard a lot about Speedway 660 and I am really happy to have the opportunity to race at one of Canada’s best racing facilities in one of your country’s biggest race weekends” said Theriault. “I hear the fans up there really love their racing and I know the competition will be tough, but I’m coming up there to go for the win.”
Austin Theriault, who is from Fort Kent, has a lot fans along the St. John River valley on both sides of the international border. Austin is looking forward to his visit here on SpeedWeekend and will be a top contender in the Re/Max 250.
Theriault was the 2012 Maine Vintage Race Car Association’s Driver of the Year, and he made his NASCAR K&N Pro Series debut after winning “Maine Young Guns” inaugural competition in 2012. It was that same year he became a part-time development driver for Brad Keselowski Racing. More recently he finished second in this year’s Oxford 250 after leading most of the race.

Austin Theriault will run the #57 Southern Maine Chrysler Dodge Jeep machine in the Re/Max 250 on SpeedWeekend. That’s the same car he raced at the Oxford 250.
