(FREDERICTON, NB – August 4th, 2021) – With COVID-19 related health restrictions lifting in the Province of New Brunswick, Speedway 660 is excited to announce that country music band Hazzard will play a concert on Friday, September 3rd as a part of the SpeedWeekend Kickoff Show. The concert is included with your ticket to the racing action on September 3rd, which will include the Atlantic Modified Tour, the Fredericton Gun Shop Sharp Shooters and the RE/MAX East Coast Elite Realty Pro Stock Happy Hour ahead of Sunday’s Pro Stock 250. Post time on the racing action is 7:30pm with Hazzard hitting the stage shortly after the checkered flag in the Happy Hour practice.
Formed in 2014 by Lockie Munn and Jody Vincent, Hazzard plays country music mixed in with a little bit of rock. Their high energy adds to the good time atmosphere of SpeedWeekend. The concert will take place in the “Turn Five” section of the track off Turn Two of the oval track and is open to all who purchase a Friday night grandstand or pit pass. Added in 2020 as the SpeedWeekend Teaser and returning in 2021 as the SpeedWeekend Kickoff, the event gives fans a chance to see some racing to start a busy weekend in the Geary woods. It is the last chance for Pro Stock teams to get some night-time testing in with similar conditions to the Pro Stock 250 on Sunday evening. The Atlantic Modified Tour will get a shakedown on Friday night with a 35-lap feature prior to their championship point race on Sunday afternoon presented by Northside Auto Parts. The Fredericton Gun Shop Sharp Shooters will open the weekend on Friday with 35-laps of action and excitement. With the return of the pre-race concert featuring Hazzard, the Friday night show is one you will want to circle on your calendar ahead of SpeedWeekend 2021.
The three day festival of speed continues Saturday with an extend distance Late Model Sportsman feature headlining the card. The Maritime League of Legends Tour Cross Roads Cycle 50, Tim’s Corner Motorsports Bandolero Blast and Passione Flooring & Interiors East Coast Mini Stock Tour will fill out the Saturday card. The Legends, Bandoleros and Mini Stock Tour return Sunday and will be joined by DMR Street Stocks and the Atlantic Modified Tour ahead of the Pro Stock 250.

The Lap Leaderboard is also on sale now. Laps can be purchased for $50 with the money going into the pocket of the leader of that lap in the Pro Stock 250.
