TCM Spring Shootout this Sunday!
NOTE: The Bandolero portion of the TCM Spring Shootout has been postponed to a later date. All other classes are on the card for today at 2pm.
(May 25, 2017) – The Bandoleros are coming to Speedway 660 at 2PM on Sunday afternoon for the Tim’s Corner Motorsports Spring Shootout. The return of the Bandos will highlight action during the second event of the season in the Geary Woods. Fans will also see racing in the Re/Max Group Four Realty Pro Stock, Martin’s Home Heating Sportsman, DMR Auto Sales Street Stock and Fredericton Gun Shop Sharp Shooter divisions.
“We want to thank Tim Terry, from TCM, for bringing the Bandolero Spring Shootout to our fans who will enjoy watching these fast, exciting, sensational young drivers” said Speedway 660’s Max Roy. “We had our own Bando division between 2010 and 2015 and hope this event will encourage a new generation of youngsters in our area to get into racing.”The TCM Bando Blast thrilled fans at Speedway 660, during SpeedWeekend, last September. On Sunday the kids are back for the TCM Spring Shootout, a race that will bring more excitement to the Geary Woods!
A strong field of drivers is expected to enter the TCM Spring Shootout including Josh Langille and Michael Cormier, who were on the 2016 SpeedWeekend Bando Blast podium. Fans can also expect to see Koven Lewis, Nathan Langille, Nathan Blackburn as well as Brooke and Dylan Dowe enter the race.
“The Spring Shootout is going to be an awesome race and I know the Bando kids love coming to Speedway 660 because the track is so fast and these kids love speed” said TCM’s Tim Terry. “Several drivers currently racing Street Stock, Sportsman and Pro Stock came up through the Bando division and it would be nice to reboot that brand of racing at Speedway 660.”Ashton Tucker won lots of races during his time in the little cars and also claimed the 2015 championship. Last year Ashton won the Re/Max Pro Stock Rookie of the Year Award.
Adult ticket prices for Saturday’s event are $14, Youth tickets (13 to 15 years of age) are $10 and children 12 and under are admitted free.

Coming up on Saturday, June 3rd Speedway 660 presents the Pro All Star Series. The top three Canadians and top three American in the PASS 150 will qualify for the Oxford 250 in late August in Maine. Then on June 10th it’s the Fredericton Gun Shop Sharp Shooter 50. But this Sunday at 2PM the TCM Band Spring Shootout is the marquee attraction at Speedway 660.The PASS 150 is coming up on June 3rd at Speedway 660. What a way to kick off our first Saturday night race of the season!
