To be the best, you’ve got to beat the best: Pro Stock 150 goes Saturday at Speedway 660!

The Best of the Best Pro Stock 150 highlights a full evening of racing at Speedway 660. On Saturday, beginning at 7pm, five racing divisions see action and the evening will end in a Victory Lane celebration for one winning pro stock driver.

“The Best of the Best is really one of our most important races of the year because the winning driver gets an automatic starting position in the Auto Value 250, come SPEEDWEEKEND” said Speedway 660’s Chris Johnston. “The Pro All Star Series in the States and the Maritime Parts for Trucks Tour are both off this weekend, so we expect some of those teams to be here for the Best of the Best.”

Ben Rowe, still looking for his first win at Speedway 660 in a non PASS race, is expected to roll into Speedway 660 this weekend. Rowe and several other visiting drivers will join Speedway 660’s A.L. Gullison Disaster Kleenup Pro Stock drivers for the Best of the Best Pro Stock 150. The winner is guaranteed a starting position in the Auto Value 250 on SPEEDWEEKEND.

This is the third of four big pro stock races held at Speedway 660 every year. Johnny Clark won the PASS 200 back in June, while Shawn Tucker took the Parts for Trucks 100 earlier this month. Greg Fahey is the defending Best of the Best Pro Stock winner, leading all 150 laps in the 2011 race.

“It’s never easy, even a good run like last year was difficult because you have to stay focused, hit your marks every lap, contend with lapped traffic, hope everything holds together and don’t get caught up in a someone else’s wreck” said Fahey. “We’ve got a pretty good car and although we want to win the Best of the Best 150 for the second year in a row, we are also looking to learn a few things and improve our chances in the Auto Value 250.”

Although the Best of the Best Pro Stock 150 is the main event there will be plenty of other action at Speedway 660 on Saturday evening. The Martin’s Home Heating Sportsman, RV World Street Stock, Hanwell Village Mart Bandolero and 4 cylinder divisions will all see action.

“It’s going to be an action-packed evening of racing that is guaranteed to thrill fans of all ages” said Johnston. “With our weekly pro stock drivers and some visiting tour drivers heading our way, it’s shaping up to be a great Best of the Best 150, plus fans will see exciting racing in our other four divisions.”
