Just Kidding Around!

Last Updated: May 31, 2012By

Saturday is Kids Day at Speedway 660 and its one of the most exciting events of the year for kids of all ages! This Weekly Points Series event has racing in all five divisions. The racing officially gets underway at 7PM, but fans will want to get to Speedway 660 early. That’s because Kids Day festivities get underway around 5:30PM when the pit area is open to all race fans.

“Kids Day is an amazing event for our youngest fans because they get a rare opportunity to go into the pits before the races to meet their favourite drivers and check out the race cars” said Lisa Fagan, Speedway 660’s Kids Klub coordinator. “Then, during intermission they go out onto the front stretch for our famous candy scramble which is great fun for the kids and the adults who get a kick out of watching them go after all of that candy.”

The Hanwell Village Mart Bandoleros and four cylinder divisions will begin their heat races around 6:20PM on Saturday. Heat races for the RV World Street Stocks, Martin’s Home Heating Sportsman and A.L. Gullison Disaster Kleenup Pro Stock divisions begin at 7PM.

After this Saturday’s Kids Day, Speedway 660 will get ready to host one of Atlantic Canada’s biggest racing events of the year. Next weekend (June 9th) the Pro All Star Series make their only 2012 visit to Canada. The PASS 200 attracts pro stock drivers and fans from all over northeastern North America. In two weeks (June 16th) all five divisions return to action at Speedway 660 for another important Weekly Points Series event.
