Atlantic Canada’s Richest Race Weekend Will Be Carried on LIVE Worldwide VIDEO Broadcast from Speedway 660

FREDERICTON, NB, CAN (August 22, 2017) – Speedway 660 announced today that they will be broadcasting their entire $110,000+ SpeedWeekend on Pit Row TV, an internet-based broadcast channel dedicated to motorsports of all types. Fans can expect to see every lap of on-track competition both Saturday and Sunday through LIVE video, with an on-demand replay available shortly after each event.

“We’ve been looking at doing something like this for almost a year,” said Max Roy from Speedway 660. “It’s taken a lot of questions and answers to make it happen, but we’re thrilled to be able to present this option to our displaced fans during our biggest weekend of the year. We’re confident nothing beats our at-track experience, but this is the next best thing for our fans and the fans of drivers competing here.”

The speedway will have multiple cameras wired around the property for the broadcast. Fans will be able to experience instant replays of pivotal moments during the races, a live scoring ticker with lap and position information, plus full commentary from the track’s announcing crew over the course of every event during the weekend. Additional content from drivers and teams will also be a part of the broadcast with select pieces available on the track and its partners’ social channels.

“We’re proud to partner with everyone to help make this happen for the richest weekend of racing in Atlantic Canada,” said Tim Terry of Tim’s Corner Motorsports, the authority on short track racing in Atlantic Canada and the Maritimes. “Seeing what these types of broadcasts have done for competitors in Legend Car racing during my travels this year, it’s going to be really big for everyone who competes at Speedway 660. It’s the first time anything of this kind has happened in Atlantic Canada and it is coming live from the ‘Geary Woods.’ I’m just excited to be a small part of making it happen.”

The McLaughlin Roof Trusses 250 has already become Atlantic Canada’s biggest event with a possible winner’s payday of over $27,000. Two years ago, Cassius Clark invaded from the United States to claim a record $30,100 check which included most of the bonus money up for grabs. Last year, PASS North start Joey Doiron claimed the prize as the race winner. No one has more wins than Canadian Shawn Tucker with three, although Cassius Clark, Johnny Clark and Lonnie Sommerville are threatening with two apiece. The race has quickly become an international border war event with half of the 16 race-winning trophies belonging to Canadian competitors and the other half to United States drivers.

“With the way races play out here, things are always dramatic until the final stages of the race,” Roy said of the event. “There’s a reason people pack into our facility to see this race, and many more clamor to watch it from around the world. We’re just thrilled to be able to give them the opportunity and are confident the racers in all classes will not disappoint.”

This event is yet another marquee show that has been carried by Pit Row TV. In the past, Pit Row TV has carried broadcasts from marquee events and facilities like the All-American 400 for late models/pro stocks at the Nashville Fairgrounds in Tennessee, Charlotte Motor Speedway’s Bojangles’ Summer Shootout, the CARS Tour from the southeastern US and the midsummer dirt classic Modified Mega 100 held in the gorgeous mountains of West Virginia.

Pit Row TV is accessible to anyone in the world with an internet-connected device – PC, laptop, iPad, Android, iPhone and many more. For subscription information and basic computer requirements, visit www.pitrow.tv.

Speedway 660’s broadcast coverage will hit the airwaves with Saturday’s on-track competition during the opening night of SpeedWeekend. The entire slate of action, including support divisions, will be on-air in addition to the feature event, the richest sportsman race in Canada, the Martin’s Home Heating 150. Sunday’s events will include complete qualification and heat race coverage for the McLaughlin Roof Trusses 250, plus the full gamut of support classes prior to the green flag of the 250-lap feature.

Street stock, four-cylinder, Bandolero, Maritime League of Legends and MJS Holdings East Coast Mini Stock Tour support division features will also be included on the broadcasts in their entirety.
