The Martin’s Home Heating Sportsman Firecracker 150 and 30 lap Bando Blast created a few fireworks in the Geary Woods on Saturday night. Check out our weekly photo album for images from the races.

Rookie Kyle MacKinnon picks up his first-ever Riverview Ford Victory Lane visit in the first Sharp Shooter heat race of the evening.

Jeremy Doran takes the second Fredericton Gun Shop Sharp Shooter heat race. Jeremy is a 2014 championship contender at Speedway 660.

Tyler Seveck improves his rookie point standings by winning our first Street Stock heat race of the evening.

How about Rick Cashol? The five-time DMR Auto Sales & Service Street Stock champ wins his heat race!

Kyle Orr (#5) and Riley Goodwin (#77) get tangled up in the first Bando heat of the evening.

Rookie Levi Rossiter makes his first-ever trip to victory lane in that Westwood Estate Apartments Bandolero heat race.

Courtney O’Blenis picks up the checkers in the second Bando heat. Courtney is having a great season down in the Geary Woods.

Same number – bigger car! Dave O’Blenis follows his daughter’s example and takes the win in the first Sportsman heat.

George Jamieson (#96) and Brent Roy battle it out in the second Martin’s Home Heating Sportsman heat race.

In the end Roy prevails and picks up the Sportsman heat race win.

Things get a little crazy in the Street Stock dash. Tyler Seveck (#70) is just about to get “t-boned” by Heidi Cooper, who had no where to go!

Seveck climbs the bank, Cooper is in the beach and Benji Ruff (#8) cruises by the carnage!

When the smoke finally cleared, Tyler ends up in the fence!

When the racing resumes two friends, Rob Raynes (#41) and heat winner Rick Cashol, engage in a battle for the dash win.

It’s Raynes who makes a last lap pass for the win.  These two guys would meet later on this night to battle in the Street Stock feature.

Who is this guy? It’s Kyle Boudreau who wins his first-ever Fredericton Gun Shop Sharp Shooter feature! Nice Job Kyle – the kids really like that “lime-green”.

Remember this dude? It’s heat winner Kyle MacKinnon, who picks up second in the feature and his first-ever  Sharp Shooter feature podium. This Kyle is a 3rd gen-driver!

It’s a great point night for Jeremy Doran. He takes 3rd in the Sharp Shooter feature.

Street Stock feature time. Luc MacLaughlin tries to squeeze between “The Port City Princess” Destiny Enkel (#52) and defending point champ Roger Slocum (#52). That’s a tight fit!

Rick Cashol picks up another feature win. The five-time champ had to work hard, but proved to our fans he still is one of the best Street Stock drivers on Canada’s east coast.

Rob Raynes settles for second place in the DMR Auto Sales & Service Street Stock feature. He tipped his hat to his friend Rick and looks forward to racing against him again next weekend on Fan Appreciation Night.

Geoff Tugwell, who won the Street Stock 50 a few weeks ago, ran out of laps on Saturday night. Geoff, who has really figured out the set-up on his car, was pretty pleased with a third place finish after starting at the back of the field.

Hudson Weston (#43) battles Ashton Tucker in the early stages of Saturday night’s Bando Blast.

Cole Tanner drives all the way from Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia to race his Bando car. Actually his Dad Jackie drives the truck from Shubie! When they get to Speedway 660 Cole is ready to race and on Saturday night he won the Bando Blast!

All of the Bando drivers get a photo with division sponsors David & Lee Goodine, from Westwood Estate Apartments. Cory Hall (far right) finished second in the race, while Ashton Tucker (4th from left) finished third.

Dave O’Blenis grabs the early lead in the Firecracker 150. The 2013 winner of this race would be hard to beat on this night!

The 2013 Martin’s Home Heating Sportsman champ had a pretty good run early in the race, but Greg Fahey’s car faded down the stretch and he had to settle for a7th place finish.

Andrew (#14) and Matt Rodgers raced each other hard during the Firecracker 150. The two brothers swapped 2nd and 3rd spots several times.

At the end of the night the fireworks ignited as Dave O’Blenis pulled his patented number 48 into the Riverview Ford Victory Lane!

Andrew Rodgers takes home second in the 2014 Firecracker 150. Not a bad way to follow up his impressive $3000 win in the Martin’s Home Heating 100 earlier this season!

Matt Rodgers takes third spot in the big race. Matt is leading our Sportsman standings with just two weeks of point racing remaining in the season!

This feeling never gets old! Dave O’Blenis is one of the best drivers in eastern North America. The veteran says he’s feeling a little old and under a lot of pressure from all of the youngsters in this sport, including his daughter Alexandra who finished 5th in the Firecracker 150.
