Race fans were treated to some great racing when the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour came to Speedway 660 on Saturday night. John Flemming won the Irving Blending and Packaging 100 finishing ahead of Shawn Tucker, Dave O’Blenis and 23 other top Maritime pro stockers. The DMR Auto Sales & Service Street Stock and Martins Home Heating Sportsman teams also put on an awesome show for race fans. Check out our photo album from the event.

John Flemming (center) solidified his position atop the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour point standings with Saturday night’s win. Shawn Tucker (right) was second for the second straight week, while Dave O’Blenis had a strong third place finish. The other folks in the photo are part of the Irving Blending and Packaging team who sponsored the race.

Shawn Tucker had to settle for second place on Saturday night. Tucker gave John Flemming credit for the win and says Team Tucker will keep working hard to find a way to get to the victory lane on the Parts for Trucks Tour before the season ends.

Dave O’Blenis won the Atlantic Tiltload time trials and the King Freightliner dash on Saturday night. Speedway 660’s RE/MAX Group Four Realty pro stock point leader was out front for the first 42 laps before a flat tire forced him to pit under a Service Master Clean caution. O’Blenis made a charge toward the front in the final 42 caution-free laps, but had to settle for a third place finish.

George Jamieson celebrated his best run of the year in the Martins Home Heating Sportsman Division feature. The only Dodge driver in the division won his heat race and the feature. Jamieson had the dominate car on the night, but had to step-up after a late race caution to hold off one of Speedway 660’s bright young Sportsman stars.

Andrew Rodgers sure made George Jamieson work hard for the feature win. The hard charging 16 year old had an impressive second place finish in the Martins Home Heating Sportsman feature. Andrew dedicated his win to “Grampie” Bob Rodgers who celebrated his birthday at Speedway 660 on Saturday night.

Jason Shannon worked up a sweat in his run to a third place finish in the Martins Home Heating Sportsman feature. Jason, who has struggled all season, says the team worked hard to fix a problem on the car last week and was happy that hard work paid off with a podium finish.

Robert Raynes did a great job holding off a five time champion to win the DMR Auto Sales & Service Street Stock feature. Raynes, one of the street stock veterans at Speedway 660, is impressed with the strong crop of rookies in the division in 2013.

Rick Cashol brought car 54 to the podium with a second place finish in the street stock feature Saturday night. The five time Speedway 660 champion is happy with the way his car is working, but says they’ve got some work to do on his grandson Gregory’s street stock ride to help him become more competitive.

Luc MacLaughlin is the first rookie to get a podium finish in a street stock feature this year. Luc, the 2012 four cylinder champ, finished third on Saturday night and currently leads the rookie of the year standings in Speedway 660’s DMR Auto Sales & Service Street Stock division.
