Smashing Good Time This Saturday Night!!

Last Updated: July 15, 2009By

Fredericton, NB – This Saturday under the lights at Speedway 660, fans will have a smashing good time for the first Enduro race of the 2009 season.  This will be an exciting event for sure.  The first Enduro event had to be cancelled due to Mother Nature.  This is the first of several Enduro events this season.

The other Enduro events are scheduled for Sunday Aug. 16th (4cylinder only), and Monday Sept 7th as an end to the ever-popular SPEEDWEEKEND.  Fans can expect to see a lot of the regular Enduro drivers’ back in action Saturday night. This is a division where the drivers get to go out have fun with little rules involved.  They say rubbing is racing; in this case, it is for sure.  If there were no rubbing and bumping into each other it would simply not be the Enduro division.  The cars come out to each event during the season to compete for the point’s championship at the end of the season.  You can expect to see drivers such as, Ed Vallis, Benji Ruff and Dale Hathaway, who share driving duties, Rheal Kenny and as well as many more, participate in these Enduro events. Last year’s points champion, Ed Vallis, will be a tough competitor for sure. He knows how to get around the track and be there at the end. That is the important part in Enduro racing.

As some additional excitement, there will be a huge fireworks display after the Enduro 200.  This will be something to see for sure.  The other weekly racing divisions have the weekend off but will be back next weekend. Next weekend will be the rescheduled CARQUEST Maritime Pro Stock tour that had to be cancelled due to rain. They will race the Parts for Trucks 100.  As well fans will see racing in the Martin’s Home Heating Sportsman, Coast Tire Street Stock.

This Saturday night’s Enduro 200 is promising to be another exciting action packed event. It’s going to be another WicKID weekend at Speedway 660, so make sure you don’t miss it!
