Sharp Shooter 40 kicks off stretch run at 660

(August 12th, 2016) Racing resumes at Speedway 660 this Saturday at 6:30PM with the Fredericton Gun Shop Sharp Shooter 40. Fans will also be treated to action in the Re/Max Group Four Realty Pro Stock, Martins Home Heating Sportsman and DMR Auto Sales Street Stock divisions.    “After taking our annual break for the New Brunswick Day Holiday Weekend and then getting rained out last weekend, fans and race teams are anxious to return to the Geary Woods for a great night of racing“ said Speedway 660`s Max Roy. “The Sharp Shooter 40 and point racing in street stock, sportsman and pro stock will give everyone lots of exciting action as we enter the final month of the racing season.“660_4556The 2015 version of the Fredericton Gun Shop Sharp Shooter 40 provided fans with lots of side-by-side racing and an exciting finish. Matt Crocker, who moved up to street stock earlier this season, won the 2015 version of the Fredericton Gun Shop Sharp Shooter 40. Several drivers have their sights set on this weekend`s race including current sharp shooter point leader Kyle MacKinnon who finished fourth in last year`s race. “Every sharp shooter driver has looked forward to this race all season long and wants to go to victory lane, but it will take a real effort in the shop to prepare our cars and on the track to get the win“ said MacKinnon. “We may be the entry level division of racing at 660, but we work as hard as anyone to put on a great show for our fans and that`s what we are going to do on Saturday night.“       _DSC8664Kyle MacKinnon is having a great season at Speedway 660. Kyle hopes to improve on last year’s fourth place finish in the Sharp Shooter 40 when he takes the #22 out on the track Saturday night. Adult ticket prices for Saturday’s Sharp Shooter 40 are $14; Youth tickets, for kids between 13 and 15, are $10 and; Family Passes for two adults and two youths are $38. Admission is always free for fans 12 and under. There is no rain date for this event.
