(Fredericton, NB – August 4th, 2016) – For race teams planning on competing in the 2016 Pro Stock 250 at Speedway 660 on Sunday, September 4th, there is an incentive to registering your car early for the prestigious event. Track management has announced that the tire selection order for the 2016 Pro Stock 250 will be based off the order of registration for the event. The registration period opens for the 2016 Pro Stock 250 at 5pm Atlantic on Tuesday, August 9th.

“This process will not only help us from an office perspective as to who we can expect on Speedweekend, but it will also give teams an extra bonus to register early and to win the first race of the event, the one to the registration window,” said Max Roy of Speedway 660.
When the tire trailer opens for tire selection for the Pro Stock 250 on Saturday, September 3rd, the first four teams on the registration list will be allowed in the tire trailer for up to 10 minutes each. After their ten minutes are up, the next four teams, teams fifth through eighth on the registration list, will have their time to select tires and so on. This will allow teams to select their own tire sizes on the weekend of the event.
The cost to pre-register for the Pro Stock 250 at Speedway 660 is $100, which will go towards a credit on the team’s tire purchase for the race. The $100 pre-registration fee is non-refundable. The online registration for the event, along with the page to make a secure credit card payment, will go live on Speedway660.com on Tuesday, August 9th at 5pm. For teams who would like to pay their registration fee in person, the Speedway 660 Office will accept payments during the scheduled upcoming Saturday night races, beginning with the August 13th event. Once their payment is processed, the team will be added to the tire registration list and will be included in all Pro Stock 250 related media materials.
The Pro Stock 250 at Speedway 660 is the richest stock car race in Atlantic Canada, paying $15,000 to the winner along with a lap leader fund worth $12,500 ($50 to the leader of each lap). In total, the purse for the Pro Stock 250 tips the scales at over $100,000. Cassius Clark of Farmington, Maine took home $30,100 for his winning performance in the 2015 edition of the Pro Stock 250.
Qualifying for the Pro Stock 250 will begin at 2pm on Sunday, September 4th. The DMR Auto Sales and Service Street Stock and Fredericton Gun Shop Sharp Shooters will run in extended lap features prior to the main event along with the recently announced seventh annual Bandolero Blast. The racing action begins for the weekend at 6:30pm on Saturday, September 3rd with the Sportsman 150 and racing in the Upper Clements Parks Maritime League of Legends and Atlantic Modified Tours.
