(Aug. 23, 2015) Speedway 660 will crown champions in five divisions on Saturday night. It’s the last point race of the season and several teams have their sights set on titles. Let’s take a look at the point battles heading into the Night of Champions.  And don’t forget it’ll also be Fan Appreciation Night with an on-track autograph session at 5:15 and racing starting at 6:30PM.

 Night of Champions Advancer

Drivers in two of our five divisions have a little breathing room heading into the 2015 Night of Champions. If they have good runs, they will claim the titles, but as we’ve seen in the past, nothing is a sure thing because anything can happen on the last point race! One thing is for sure, there will be a mad scramble for as many points as possible by all of the contending drivers. The Night of Champions is a dream night of racing for fans, but a potential nightmare for drivers. So let’s run through our divisions one by one.

RE/MAX Group Four Realty Pro Stocks

Lonnie Sommerville came back to Speedway 660 full time in 2015 and he’s looking for his first ever Pro Stock Championship. But Sommerville, who has two feature wins as well as a second and a third, is being chased by Dave O’Blenis who has yet to win a feature, but has two second place finishes and a third. Kevin Moore is within striking distance on the strength of three third place feature finishes. Greg Fahey’s three feature wins are the most by any Pro Stock driver. Greg, who also has two second place finishes, had a couple of tough weeks and is a long-shot to win his fourth Pro Stock championship.Lonnie Sommerville Pro Stock feature winner, June 27, 2015Lonnie Sommerville holds just a six point lead over Dave O’Blenis and is ten ahead of Kevin Moore.
