Mini Stock Race Cancelled!
(June 22, 2017) The MJS Holdings East Coast Mini Stock Tour race scheduled for June 24th has been cancelled because of inclement weather. There is no rain date for this event. Because of the number of rain-outs early this season Speedway 660 is looking at scheduling at least one and possibly two make-up dates.
“Everyone is excited to come to Geary for our first ever Mini Stock Tour event and I’m sure the fans will enjoy our unique brand of racing” said Mark Williams, a driver and Vice-President of the new tour. “We’ve got over 20 cars registered for the tour so I expect to see a good turn-out and I know everyone is ready to kick things off in a big way for the Gilmet Designs 50 at Speedway 660.”The new tour has got racing fans in Atlantic Canada excited. They’ll get their very first chance this weekend to see the Mini Stock Tour in action.
The MJS Holdings East Coast Mini Stock Tour is exclusively a Honda series and organizers expect a fast, competitive and thrilling brand of racing. Mike Edwards, from Penobsquis, and Patricia Taylor and Mike Weagle, from Salisbury, head up the New Brunswick contingent of drivers. Neil Miousse, a former Fredericton Gun Shop Sharp Shooter driver at Speedway 660 and now living in Kentville, is also expected to race in the Gilmet Designs 50.A brand new tour is excited to promote it’s brand new marketing partners. Gilmet Designs is presenting this weekend’s race and MJS Holdings is the title sponsor of the new tour.
“We’re glad to have the new Mini Stock Tour come race with us and I’m sure they’ll entertain our fans with some exciting racing” said Speedway 660’s Max Roy. “We want to see racing grow in our region and this new tour has generated a lot of interest so we’re really looking forward to seeing them Saturday night.”Neil Miousse had a lot of success in the Fredericton Gun Shop Sharp Shooter Division. Since moving to Kentville, Neil has raced at Scotia SpeedWorld and this year has joined the MJS Holdings East Coast Mini Stock Tour.
The RE/MAX Group Four Realty Pro Stocks will also run a 50 lap feature, while the Martin’s Home Heating Sportsman will race 40 laps in their main event. Rookie sensation Ryan Messer and the 2016 Rookie of the Year Ashton Tucker have won the last two Pro Stock features in the Geary Woods. John Rankin, winner of the last two Sportsman features, including the Martin’s Home Heating 100, will try to make it three in a row on Saturday night.
Adult ticket prices for Saturday’s MJS Holdings East Coast Mini Stock Tour event are $14; Youth tickets, for kids between 13 and 15, are $10 and; admission is always free for fans 12 and under. Brent Roy (#26) leads the RE/MAX Group Four Realty Pro Stock point parade heading into action this Saturday night. Rookie Ryan Messer (#1) has moved up to 4th after winning the 50 lap Pro Stock feature last Sunday!

The Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour is coming to Speedway 660 on Canada Day for the Cummins 150 and the DMR Auto Sales Street Stock 75 is scheduled for July 8th.
