It’s a Fan Appreciation Night!

(Aug. 18th, 2016) Speedway 660 is hosting Fan Appreciation Night this Saturday. Fans will be treated to an on-track autograph session at 5:30PM and the racing gets underway at 6:30. There will be lots of prizes given away, including DQ treats for the first 400 fans 12 and under who arrive at the track. On top of that fans will be entertained by an incredible night of championship point racing in four divisions. 

“It’s all about the fans this coming Saturday night and every driver enjoys rolling their cars out on the track for the pre-race autograph session to meet fans of all ages, especially the kids” said Richard Atkinson, one of Speedway 660’s most popular drivers. “Speedway 660 has got awesome fans and spending time with them before the races helps pump us up to put on a great night of racing for them.”Pit visit 2016 Richard AtkinsonRichard Atkinson has been racing at Speedway 660 for over two decades. This veteran driver is a “Big Kid” who loves hangin out with race fans and havin some fun!

The pre-race autograph session will run from 5:30 until 6:15 and racing gets underway at 6:30PM. Fans will see action in all four weekly championship divisions including: the Fredericton Gun Shop Sharp Shooter; DMR Auto Sales Street Stock; Martins Home Heating Sportsman and; Re/Max Group Four Realty Pro Stock.

“Fans enjoy the opportunity to go on the track to meet their favourite drivers before the races and then cheer for them when they fire up the engines for the second last point race of the season” said Speedway 660’s Max Roy. “They’ll see some of the best racing of the season because the championship standings are really tight in all of our divisions and the drivers will be going all out to score as many points as possible.”kids and autographsGeorge Jamieson is looking forward to the pre-race autograph session on Saturday night. George and Speedway 660’s other drivers enjoy meeting fans before the races and then going out and putting on a show for them. 

Adult ticket prices are $14; Youth tickets, for kids between 13 and 15 are $10; the Family Pass for two adults and two youths is $38 and; as always admission is absolutely free for Speedway 660’s youngest race fans, 12 and under. Adult Pit Passes are $2.

On Saturday, August 27th, Speedway 660 will hold its final night of point racing. The Night of Champions is the final chance for drivers to claim divisional titles or rookie of the year awards. Point battles are tight in every divisions heading into the final two weeks of point racing.660_6574The pits will be full of haulers and race cars and the campground will be overflowing with RV’s, campers and tents when SpeedWeekend rolls around in just a couple of weeks.
