Speedway 660 has some unfinished business to take care of this Sunday afternoon. The 2013 ENDURO 200 Championship race will be held at 2PM on Sunday in the Geary Woods.

“The weather hasn’t co-operated for the last two weeks, but we’re hoping for a nice day on Sunday to crown the ENDURO champion and wrap up our 2013 racing season” said Speedway 660’s Michelle Roy. “Fans, race teams and Speedway 660 officials are primed because everyone knows the final ENDURO race of the season is really intense.”

After taking shelter from the rain for the last two weeks the defending point champions from Norton are hoping they can successfully defend the ENDURO title they won in 2012. Chuck and Clifford Mercer, from Norton, share the driving duties of car number two. They know there will be tough competition at Speedway 660 on Sunday afternoon and are prepared to give it their best shot to become back to back champs.

A little over a year ago “Team Mercer” won the 2012 ENDURO title at Speedway 660. This Sunday at 2PM they’ll try to take the championship trophy back to their garage in Norton for the second year in a row.

“The recent rain-outs have only raised the intensity level for Sunday’s race and all of our ENDURO teams can’t wait to get out on the track for their final event of the season” said Roy. “It will be a great afternoon of entertainment for our fans and I encourage everyone to expect the unexpected, because you never really know what is going to happen when the final ENDURO of the season takes the green flag.”

Adult ticket prices for this Sunday’s Championship ENDURO 200 are $10; Youth tickets, for kids between 8 and 15 years of age are $7 and admission is absolutely free for race fans seven and under. Family passes are not available for Enduro events.

If the weather is unsettled on Sunday morning, please call the race line at 506-454-7223 or visit www.Speedway 660.com for race day status updates.

Remember this is the final event of the year. It promises to be Speedway 660’s wildest and craziest afternoon of the season and it starts at 2PM this Sunday afternoon.
