Fan Favourite Night of Champions is this weekend!
Speedway 660’s Night of Champions and Fan Appreciation Night is set for Saturday. Championship and Rookie of the Year Award winners will be determined, there’ll be a pre-race autograph session and lots of prizes for race fans of all ages. The autograph session runs from 5:15 to 6PM and racing begins at 6:30.

“It’ll be one of the busiest and most eventful nights of racing this season because we’re combining Fan Appreciation Night and the Night of Champions” said Speedway 660’s Max Roy. “The pre-race autograph session and prize giveaways are always a hit with our fans and on top of that our drivers will be going all out for those championship and rookie trophies.”Saturday’s autograph session gets underway at 5:15 and runs until 6PM. Night of Championship racing starts at 6:30.
Fans will see racing in all five of Speedway 660’s weekly divisions including: West Wood Estate Apartments Bandoleros; Fredericton Gun Shop Sharp Shooters; DMR Auto Sales & Service Street Stocks; Martin’s Home Heating Sportsman and; RE/MAX Group Four Realty Pro Stocks.
“The 2015 championships are still up in the air and we won’t know who the winners are until the feature races are completed in each division” said Roy. “The Night of Champions always provides fans with a few surprises and with the points as tight as they are, it’s going to be a dramatic night of racing.” Lonnie Sommerville has a slim lead the RE/MAX Group Four Realty Pro Stock points battle. The other divisions are also hotly contested, so fans are going to be treated to some intense racing on Saturday!
Adult ticket prices are $14; Youth tickets, for kids between 8 and 14 are $10; the Family Pass for two adults and two youths is $38 and; as always admission is absolutely free for Speedway 660’s youngest race fans, seven and under. Adult Pit Passes are $2.

From Friday September 4th through Monday, the 7th, Speedway 660 will hold the Irving Blending & Packaging SpeedWeekend. Country music star Tristan Horncastle will perform on-stage in a huge infield party on SpeedWeekend Firday. The best Sportsman cars in Atlantic Canada will highlight action in Saturday’s Irving I24-150. Fans will see the Irving Blending & Packaging Pro Stock 250 on SpeedWeekend Sunday and the Capital City Auto Parts ENDURO 200 goes on Monday, September 7th.This was the “margin of victory” in the 2014 Irving Blending & Packaging 250! Travis Benjamin barely beat Ben Rowe to the line to win Atlantic Canada’s most prestigious short track race. You can bet SpeedWeekend 2015 will provide fans with many more thrills!
