Championship ENDURO 200 goes Sunday
Speedway 660 holds it’s last event of the 2013 season this Sunday at 2PM. After getting rained-out on SpeedWeekend, the 2013 ENDURO 200 Championship race will be held on Sunday afternoon. It is guaranteed to be a wild and crazy way to end the racing season.
“The drivers and fans were disappointed not to be able to run the final ENDURO 200 of the season on SpeedWeekend, but everyone is excited about coming back this Sunday to get the race in” said Speedway 660’s Michelle Roy. “The Championship 200 is more intense than the ENDURO’s we held earlier in the season because the title is on the line and drivers will beat and bang a lot harder knowing they’ve got all winter to repair the damage.”
The defending point champions from Norton are gunning for back to back championships, but it won’t be easy. Chuck and Clifford Mercer, who split the driving duties, of the number 2 ENDURO are ready to defend, but the Mercers will face some tough competition. Brody Seveck, Dale Gilbert, Nathan Gallant and three-time champ Pat Sharpe are all in contention and several other drivers will try to keep the Mercer boys out of the Riverview Ford Lincoln Victory Lane.
Brody Seveck has finished in second place in both ENDURO 200’s this year. The only problem is the Mercer Boys have won both races! But another good run for Team Seveck on Sunday afternoon could give these guys their first ENDURO title.
“If you’ve never seen an ENDURO race before this is a great time to come down to Speedway 660 to check one out because these drivers really put on an awesome show” said Roy. “If you like howling tires, grinding sheet-metal, more than a few dust-ups and perhaps an occasional car on it’s roof, the Geary Woods is the place to be this Sunday afternoon.”
Adult ticket prices for this Sunday’s Championship ENDURO 200 are $10; Youth tickets, for kids between 8 and 15 years of age are $7 and admission is absolutely free for race fans seven and under. Family passes are not available for Enduro events.
If the weather is unsettled on Sunday morning, please call the race line at 506-454-7223 or visit www.Speedway 660.com for race day status updates.
Remember this is the final event of the year. It promises to be Speedway 660’s wildest and craziest afternoon of the season and it starts at 2PM this Sunday afternoon.
