A Break in the Action!
It will be dark and quiet in the Geary Woods this Saturday night. That’s because Speedway 660 and its fans, sponsors, race-teams, employees and volunteers are taking the weekend off.
“Everyone deserves a break before we head into the stretch run because after this weekend we’ll being going wide-open until the season ends on SpeedWeekend” said Speedway 660’s Steve Burns. “2012 has been a fantastic season and we know with championships on the line and the Auto Value 250 just around the corner it’s going to be a great finish to the racing year.”
After the New Brunswick Holiday Weekend, race fans will be headed back to Speedway 660 for an exciting final month of the 2012 racing season. The Martin’s Home Heating Firecracker 150 for Sportsman cars is scheduled for August 11th and racing continues every weekend until SpeedWeekend wraps up the season on September 3rd.
After the long New Brunswick Holiday Weekend the action picks up with one of the biggest Sportsman races of the year. On Saturday, August 11th, the $3000 to Win Martin’s Home Heating Firecracker 150 is expected to draw a lot of visiting race teams to challenge Speedway 660’s strong Sportsman division teams. The very next day (Sunday, August 12th) the second Enduro of the season is scheduled for 2PM.
An important Weekly Points Series Event is scheduled for August 18th and Fan Appreciation Day and the Night of Champions goes on August 25th. Then it’s the 11th annual SpeedWeekend which runs from August 31st until September 3rd. The Auto Value 250, the highlight of the racing season, will run on Sunday, September 2nd.
