A Big Night in the Geary Woods!

Last Updated: July 10, 2014By

Speedway 660 is ready to get back to racing this Saturday night. After being forced to postpone last weekend’s Parts for Truck Pro Stock Tour event because of the severe storm, everything is set for this Saturday night. The Irving Oil Blending and Packaging 100 will highlight action at Speedway 660, but fans will also see action in Bandolero, Sharp Shooter, Street Stock and Sportsman Divisions.

“Normally we only run Street Stock and Sportsman divisions as an undercard when the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour comes to the Geary Woods” said Speedway 660’s Max Roy. “Because of last week’s postponement and other rain-outs earlier in the season, Tour officials have graciously agreed to add Bando and Sharp Shooter divisions to the card.”

The Parts for Trucks Atlantic Tiltload Time Trials are scheduled to run at 6:10PM,  followed by the King Freight Dash at 7PM. For this week only, the Westwood Estate Apartments Bandolero and Fredericton Gun Shop Sharp Shooter heat races are scheduled for 5:30PM. Fans will also see intense racing in the DMR Auto Sales & Service Street Stock and Martin’s Home Heating Sportsman Divisions. The Street Stocks will run a 20 lap feature and the Sportsman will run a 30 lap feature.

“With so much racing scheduled for Saturday night we want to move things along quickly and have decided not to do the regular podium interviews after the Bando, Sharp Shooter, Street Stock and Sportsman features” said Roy. “It promises to be one of the most exciting events of the 2014 season and after dealing with lengthy power outages this week, race fans are anxious to get out and see some awesome action under the lights on Saturday night.”
