Night of champions and Fan Appreciation this week at Speedway 660
Fredericton N.B. – This weekend Speedway 660 will crown champions in all five of their divisions as they wrap up their regular season before SPEEDWEEKEND.
Speedway 660 will not only honour their drivers with championships on this night, but give back to the fans. There will be an autograph session on tack from 5:30-6:15 as well as hundreds of door prizes to be given away.
The excitement won’t stop after fans get to meet drivers as with only one more night of points racing remaining, it will come down to the wire in all divisions as to which drivers will take home a championship.
The tightest points battle is in the 4 Cylinder division as Robert Flowers of Geary and Tyler Seveck of Temperance Vale are tied at 576 points each.
In the O’Leary Auto Group Pro Stock division Greg Fahey of St. Stephen has won every points race this season, but will still need to have a good night on track to take the championship back after losing it to Chris Duncan of Hampton in 2010.
Ken Mackenzie of Salisbury continues to lead the Martin’s Home Heating Sportsman division going into the final week. Mackenzie lost some of his cushion last week as Glyn Nott of Burton took the feature and Robbie Fraser of Riverview finished ahead of Mackenzie to cut into his lead.
Rick Cashol of Saint John saw Benji Ruff of Carlow knock five points off his points lead last week and will have Ruff fighting for the RV World Street Stock championship title this week as every point will count.
The Hanwell Village Mart Bandolero division has Dana Hamm-Cameron of Fredericton leading the way, with Cole Boudreau of Chipman and Alicia Mowatt of Hardwood Ridge trailing him in second and third. Hamm-Cameron avoided getting caught up in wrecks last week and will have to have a solid finish to hold on for the championship
