PASS 150 Goes Green Saturday Night

Speedway 660 rolls out the red carpet for the Pro All Star Series on Saturday night. Qualifying for the PASS 150 begins at 7PM. Over twenty race teams from the PASS roster are expected to make the trip north this weekend. Several drivers from the Maritime Parts for Trucks Tour and the Re/Max Group Four Realty Pro Stock division are also expected to enter the race.

“This is one of our biggest and most exciting races of the year and we are expecting a really good car count for the PASS 150 on Saturday night” said Speedway 660’s Max Roy. “We are proud to be hosting Atlantic Canada’s only Pro All Star Series event of the year for our own great fans and we also look forward to welcoming PASS fans, from all over eastern North America, to Speedway 660.”

Joey Doiron leads the PASS North points after three events. Travis Benjamin the 2012 tour champion is second, Cassius Clark sits third while DJ Shaw and Ben Rowe round out the top five. Clark won the PASS season opener in April at Oxford Plains Speedway. Shaw took the second race of the season at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway and Patrick Laperle won at the Autodrome Chaudiere in Quebec.

One of these guys may have what it takes to end Johnny Clark’s streak of
three straight PASS wins at Speedway 660.

All of the drivers who come to Speedway 660 this weekend will have to contend with Johnny Clark. That’s because the Hallowell, Maine driver has won three straight PASS races here and also has two Auto Value 250 victories. Clark, who currently sits seventh in PASS North points, is looking for a big weekend in Canada.

“I love coming to Speedway 660 because we’ve had a lot of success there and the fans are great” said Johnny Clark. “We’re not where we want to be in the points right now, but are hoping a good run at one of my favourite tracks will turn things around for us.”

In addition to the PASS 150, fans will also see great racing in the DMR Auto Sales & Service Street Stock and Martins Home Heating Sportsman Divisions. Ticket prices for adults (16 and over) are $30; youth (8-15) are $15.00 and; children 7 (and under) are admitted free. Speedway 660’s Family Pass for the PASS 150 is $85.00. In case of inclement weather, the PASS 150 will be held on Sunday at 2PM. Race day status updates will be available on Speedway 660’s race line (506-454-7223) and WWW.Speedway660.com on Saturday morning.

The Pro All Star Series is North America’s premier Super Late Model touring series and boasts such marquee events as the PASS Northwest Triple Crown at Wenatchee Valley Super Oval; PASS South’s Easter Bunny 150 at the historic Hickory Motor Speedway; the Autobus La Qubecoise Triple Crown and; the legendary TD Bank 250 at Oxford Plains Speedway.
