(GEARY, NB – July 15th, 2021) – Whether you are on the naughty or nice list, motorsport fans will be treated to a great evening of stock car racing on Saturday evening at Speedway 660. The Geary, New Brunswick oval will host their popular Christmas in July event on Saturday, July 17th beginning at 6:30pm. The RE/MAX East Coast Elite Realty Pro Stocks will return for 150-laps with support from the Late Model Sportsman, DMR Auto Street Stock and Fredericton Gun Shop Sharp Shooters.

SPORTSMAN 150 POSTPONED TO SUNDAY, JULY 4TH AT 2PM

(FREDERICTON, NB – July 3rd, 2021) – Due to a worsening forecast throughout the late afternoon and evening on Saturday night, officials at Speedway 660 have made the difficult decision to postpone the Late Model Sportsman 150 card to Sunday, July 4th with a start time of 2pm. Officials are hopeful for a better forecast on Sunday that allows racing to take place.

The Sunday card will include a 150-lap, $1,500 to win Late Model Sportsman feature along with point racing action in the DMR Auto Street Stock and Fredericton Gun Shop Sharp Shooters. A detailed race day format will be released later in the day.

SPORTSMAN IN THE SPOTLIGHT SATURDAY WITH 150 AT SPEEDWAY 660

Winner will pocket $1,500 in first major Late Model Sportsman race in 2021

(GEARY, NB – July 1st, 2021) – Speedway 660 returns to action with a second consecutive weekend of stock car racing action. The Geary, New Brunswick will turn its attention to the Late Model Sportsman division as they will race 150-laps around the 1/3-mile in their first extended distance race of the 2021 season. Billed as one of the longest Sportsman races in the Province this season, the race is expected to draw out of town cars to compete for the checkered flag and $1,500 payday. The Late Model Sportsman 150 is supported by the DMR Auto Street Stocks and Fredericton Gun Shop Sharp Shooters. Racing begins on Saturday, July 3rd at 6:30pm. Should inclement weather interfere on Saturday, there is a rain date set aside for Sunday, July 4th at 2pm.

FULL CARD OF RACING SET FOR SATURDAY AT SPEEDWAY 660 INCLUDING PRO STOCK 100

(FREDERICTON, NB – June 24th, 2021) Speedway 660 returns to action this Saturday, June 26th for their second race of the 2021 season. The Geary, New Brunswick track will host five divisions of stock car racing including the return of the Atlantic Modified Tour with the Bryn Enterprises 35 and a 100-lap RE/MAX East Coast Elite Realty Pro Stock feature. The Late Model Sportsman, DMR Auto Street Stocks and Fredericton Gun Shop Sharp Shooters will play support and continues their championship point seasons. Racing action begins on Saturday evening at 6:30pm.

Kids Day Racing Card Cancelled for June 13th

(FREDERICTON, NB – June 10th, 2021) – Speedway 660 regrets to inform the racing community that the Kids Day event scheduled for Sunday, June 13th has been cancelled. The Government of New Brunswick has advised race tracks in the Province to not conduct competitive racing events with spectators, or large public gatherings in general, until the Province reaches Phase 1 of their Path to Opening. With a vaccination rate of only 72.8% as of press time on Thursday towards the Province’s 75% goal, the track has made the decision to cancel the event in advance of the weekend.

SPEEDWAY 660 CANCELS MAY 29TH RACING CARD

(FREDERICTON, NB – May 27th, 2021) – Speedway 660 officials have been informed by the Provincial Government that COVID-19 guidelines and restrictions have changed surrounding entertainment venues, specifically race tracks, effective today. With these changes, Speedway 660 cannot produce the racing event our drivers, teams and fans are accustomed to. This leaves officials no choice but to cancel Saturday’s scheduled racing card.

Speedway 660’s next scheduled event is Sunday, June 13th at 2pm. Should changes need to be made to the scheduled Kids Day event, they will be communicated through Speedway660.com and the Speedway 660 social media platforms.

SHORT TRACK STARS SHINE UNDER THE LIGHTS SATURDAY AT SPEEDWAY 660

(FREDERICTON, NB – May 26th, 2021) – While a season long championship cannot be won or lost in a single event, a run towards that yearlong title can be built in the early laps of the Summer. The cars and stars of three Speedway 660 house divisions will take to the track Saturday night in search of valuable championship points and the checkered flags in the second event of the 2021 season. It is the first night race of the season at the Geary, New Brunswick oval with racing on Saturday, May 29th beginning at 6:30pm.

RIVERVIEW FORD LINCOLN SEASON OPENER STARTS SUMMER SUNDAY AT SPEEDWAY 660

(FREDERICTON, NB – May 12th, 2021) – The sound of engines and the smell of rubber are sure signs of Spring in the Province of New Brunswick for race fans. The roar returns to Speedway 660 this Sunday, May 16th with the Riverview Ford Lincoln Season Opener, beginning the 28th consecutive season of racing at the 1/3-mile Geary, New Brunswick oval. The four staple divisions that comprise the Speedway 660 roster will be competing, headlined by a 75-lap RE/MAX East Coast Elite Realty Pro Stock feature. The Late Model Sportsman, DMR Auto Street Stocks and Fredericton Gun Shop Sharp Shooters will play support to the Pro Stocks during the Riverview Ford Lincoln Season Opener. The racing gets underway with heat races at 2pm on Sunday.

Riverview Ford Lincoln Season Opener On Track for May 16th; Petty/660 Pro Stock Series Opener Deferred

Speedway 660 officials are busy gearing up for the 2021 season to begin on Sunday, May 16th with the Riverview Ford Lincoln Season Opener.  The racing card will begin at 2pm and feature a full card with RE/MAX East Coast Elite Realty Pro Stocks, Late Model Sportsman, DMR Auto Street Stocks and Fredericton Gun Shop Sharp Shooters all getting their racing season underway.

Pro Stock teams, please note, the Petty Raceway/Speedway 660 Pro Stock Series Opener, which was scheduled to take place during the Riverview Ford Lincoln Season Opener, will be deferred until travel restrictions between the three Maritime Provinces are lifted. In its place will be a 75-lap feature for the Pro Stocks on Sunday, May 16th.

There will be an open practice and pre-tech day on Saturday, May 15th from 12pm to 5pm.

More information on this event will be released throughout the week.

FIVE RACE TRACKS COME TOGETHER TO FORM MARITIME STREET STOCK SERIES

(MONCTON, NB – February 24th, 2021) – Street Stock teams in the Maritimes will have a little more to race for in their big events in 2021. The five paved oval race tracks between New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island have entered into an agreement to form the Maritime Street Stock Series. The Series will combine five major 100-lap Street Stock races, one at each track, to ultimately crown a region champion for the popular division.
