A Big Sportsman Pay Day!

Speedway 660 is all set to host one of the season’s biggest Sportsman races in the Maritimes. The Martin’s Home Heating 100 pays $3000 to win and is expected to be hotly contested by our region’s best Sportsman teams. Bonus prize money has also been added to the purse for drivers finishing 2nd through 10th.

“We believe strongly in Sportsman racing and have added extra money to the purse which should encourage lots of drivers to make the trip to Geary this weekend” said Richard Martin, a long-time fan and Speedway 660 marketing partner. “The Martin’s Home Heating 100 has always provided the great Speedway 660 fans with an incredible night of racing and hopefully increasing the purse will bring out more race teams and make the event even more exciting.”Podium -MHHS100 Richard Martin, Matt Rodgers (2nd) Matt Maillet (1st) Brent Roy (3rd) June 22/2013Matt Maillet (2nd from right) won the 2013 Martin’s Home Heating Sportsman 100. “The competition will be tough for sure, we’ve got a good mix of veterans and rookies who run with us every week and the $3000 to win is bound to attract some other top teams from around the region” said Speedway 660’s Max Roy. “Sportsman racing is always exciting and on behalf of all of the race teams and our fans, I want to thank Richard and Anne Martin for their continued support of the Speedway 660 brand of racing.”Andrew Rodgers first Sportsman feature win June 2014Andrew Rodgers recently won his first-ever Sportsman feature at Speedway 660.
