(April 18th, 2023) – Saint John based Shur-Fit Auto Parts and Bumper to Bumper will return to Speedway 660 in 2023 as the title sponsor of the Street Stock division for the Geary, New Brunswick venues 30th anniversary season!
A fan favorite division that features the best of the “old school” style of racing, Street Stocks have been a staple since opening day in 1994 at Speedway 660. With diverse mix of drivers – from cagey veterans to youthful stars – the weekends warriors of this class keep fans on the edge of their seat and make this division a perfect partner for Shur-Fit Auto Parts and Bumper to Bumper.

The premiere event on the calendar for the Shur-Fit Auto Parts, Bumper to Bumper Street Stock division will certainly be the 5th Annual Ricky Bobby 150. Moving to Canada Day for 2023, this race brings out the best as a test of man and machine, while honouring the legacy of Speedway 660’s own Ricky Bobby. This event annually attracts upwards of 30 of the region’s top talents. Michael Cormier has won the previous two running’s of the event.
Two additional 100-lap extended distance shows will be can’t miss events of the season – with the Targett’s Windows and Doors 100 on Saturday June 10th, and the D. Gillespie & Sons 100 on Sunday September 3rd as part of the annual Speedweekend. In total, 10 races will be contested for the Shur-Fit Auto Parts Street Stock division in 2023, with the division champion being crowned as part of the Riverview Honda Championship Weekend on Saturday September 23rd. The remaining seven races will vary from 30 to 50 laps in length.
Speedway 660 will kick-off their milestone 30th season on Saturday May 13th with the Riverview Ford Season Opener, which will include action from the Shur-Fit Automotive, Bumper to Bumper Street Stock division! Opening day will be highlighted by the launch of the new Super Late Model Series, which will contest a 150-lap feature.
