Fredericton, NB-It was a beautiful night for racing in the Geary woods. Fans not only got to enjoy the racing but they also got to enjoy the nice summer weather that was a little late coming.
It was definitely an action packed evening with racing regular racing in the Martin’s Home Heating Sportsman, Irving Lubricant’s Pro Stocks, the debut of the 4-cylinders and last but not least the Dent Daddy Street Stock 75.
Fredericton, NB – It was a beautiful day for racing at Speedway 600 as the first Enduro is finally in the books . This being the first event of the season for the Enduro drivers, everyone is starting out fresh. This was the first points week for the drivers and yet they still raced as if it was the final tell all race.
Fredericton, NB – After an exciting weekend of racing last weekend, fans were looking forward to the big races this weekend, the Twin 100’s. The Martin’s Home Heating Sportsman 100 and Coast Tire Best of the Best Pro Stock 100 are now in the books at Speedway 660. Unfortunately Mother Nature has been less than kind this summer. The good news is, it was a gorgeous day for racing.
Today’s event featured regular points racing the in the Coast Tire Street Stock, Martin’s Home Heating division had their first big race of the 2009 season and the second and final race of the Best of the Best two race series sponsored by Coast Tire.
Fredericton N.B.- Mother nature has not been to kind to us lately as it has rained on our parade or so to speak the past couple weekends. She did not win this weekend. All week the forecast has been showing rain for this weekend. Track officials made the decision to wait until later in the day to make the decision whether to race or not to race. The right decision was definitely made as the races went on and what exciting racing it was.
It was the first FANFEST 2009 presented by Sojourn Signs event at Speedway 660 and it was a huge success. Drivers, crews and race fans of all ages were admitted into the track for FREE. This was a great opportunity to show appreciation for all the support that the drivers, crews and fans show each and every week. It was good to see a lot of regular race fans and a lot of new faces in the crowd tonight. Guaranteed they will become regulars now that they have seen what they have been missing. Racing is a wonderful sport and one that can be very addictive once you have heard the cars, and have seen racing from some of the finest drivers in Canada each and every week.
Fredericton, NB – After a long awaited season, Speedway 660 opened up with a BANG! Showing off their new logo and spreading the word about their new name, the Riverview Ford Lincoln Season Opener race has proven to be a WicKID kick off to the 2008 season. After giving away bumper stickers, free t-shirts and tons of other prizes, the fans were treated to another great night of racing in the Geary woods.
