You keep hearing people say stock car racing is a family sport. Drivers, who have podium finishes, acknowledge their sponsors and the fans. But they also thank their families for supporting their racing efforts and encouraging them to have fun and be successful every time they come to Speedway 660. It is always amazing how this community comes together to support a member of our racing family when they are going through challenging times.
The Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour makes its annual visit to Speedway 660 this weekend. The Maritime tour will run the Irving Blending and Packaging 100 at 7PM on Saturday night. At least two dozen tour drivers are expected to head to the Geary Woods for the race. Dave O’Blenis and a few other RE/MAX Group Four Realty Pro Stock drivers from Speedway 660 will also enter the race.
Saturday was an exciting night of action for race fans at Speedway 660. The Martins Home Heating Sportsman 100 takes center-stage at Speedway 660 at 7PM on Saturday night. The first big Sportsman event of the year always attracts a lot of fans and our region’s best race teams. The winner’s share of the purse is $3000.00.
Greg Fahey had a great start to his season in the Martins Home Heating Sportsman Division to kick off the 20th anniversary season at Speedway 660. Fahey made three trips to the Riverview Ford Lincoln Victory Lane to win the first Jensen Financial triple crown award of the racing season.
