Bent out of shape – Mercer Boys win Enduro!

Clifford and Chuck Mercer took the checkered flag in Speedway 660’s first Enduro 200 of the racing season. But it wasn’t easy for the boys from Norton. After building a huge lead after 150 laps, Chuck Mercer who drove the first and third segments of the race, got rear-ended and spent several laps in the pits. That allowed Brody Seveck to close within six laps of the leader. But somehow Team Mercer got their machine back on the track and held on for the win.

June 29th 2013 Update

Due to the weather, racing on Saturday (June 29th) is cancelled. There is no rain date for this event. However the Enduro 200 is still on the schedule for 2PM on Sunday (June 30th). If the weather is unsettled on Sunday morning, please come back to this website or phone the race line at 506-454-7223 for race day status updates.

Drivers encouraged to pre-register for race

Race teams headed to Speedway 660 this weekend for the Martins Home Heating Sportsman 100 can pre-register for the race online. Just select Drivers on the menu bar at the top of this page, then select Driver Registration and fill out the online form. It will save you the time of registering for the race when you arrive at Speedway 660. On Saturday the Pit Gate opens at noon, practice begins at 1PM, the Grandstands open at 4PM and Sportsman time trials begin at 5PM. A complete race day schedule was posted earlier this week, just scroll down this page to find it.

Look out boys – there’s a new GIRL in town!

The Martins Home Heating Sportsman 100 has attracted a lot of attention among established race teams in the Maritimes. Little wonder, with first place prize money of $3000.00 up for grabs, it’s one of the biggest Sportsman races of the year. The race will also see the much anticipated debut of one of Canada’s up and coming young female racing stars.
