Fans can expect intense racing action when Speedway 660 opens its gates for an exciting double-whammy-weekend. Sportsman drivers will compete in the Martin’s Home Heating Firecracker 150 at 7PM on Saturday, followed by the Enduro 200 at 2PM on Sunday.
“Fans, sponsors and race teams can’t wait for Saturday’s Firecracker 150 which will take Sportsman racing as we know it to a whole new level” said Speedway 660’s Steve Burns. “And with an increased car-count, fans will see an unbelievable racing spectacle called the Enduro 200 on Sunday afternoon.”
Speedway 660 hosts two big events this weekend. At 7PM on Saturday all five divisions see action including Sportsman drivers who will race in the Martin’s Home Heating Firecracker 150. Then at 2PM on Sunday the fan favourite Enduro 200 takes to the track.
Speedway 660’s four cylinder division has become the fastest growing form of racing in the Geary Woods. In three short years the car count has gone from five to more than twenty. Wade Wilson chased down T.J. Madore to talk about racing these little units.
TJ “Hollywood” Madore is one of the top young up and coming drivers at Speedway 660. Madore will fire up his camo-coloured four cylinder this Saturday night when racing resumes in the Geary Woods.
Did you ever try to light a wet firecracker? They just won’t ignite, no matter how hard you try! Last weekend, fans, sponsors, race teams and Speedway 660 officials were all amped-up for the Martin’s Home Heating Firecracker 150. But showers and rain short-circuited our spirits and we had no choice but to pull the plug on the race. And the second part of our weekend double header – the Enduro 200 scheduled for last Sunday, got washed out too.

Rain wins again! Due to more inclement weather, officials at Speedway 660 have rescheduled today’s ENDURO 200 to next Sunday Aug 19th at 2pm. Speedway 660 will take another crack at the Double Header weekend with the Martins Home Heating “$3000 to Win” Sportsman 150 on Saturday night and the ENDURO 200 on Sunday at 2pm.
Officials at Speedway 660 have decided to reschedule tonight’s Martins Home Heating Firecracker Sportsman 150 due to forecasted rain and showers throughout the day. The showers and light look like they will just drag out throughout the day into the evening and officials wanted to make a decision early to give the racing community a chance to get back their day today.
Next Saturday night fans can look to see the Martins “$3000 to Win” Firecracker Sportsman 150 as well as all other racing divisions including the AL Gullison Pro Stocks, RV World Street Stocks, 4 Cylinders and Hanwell Village Mart Bandoleros. Note the Martins Home Heating Sportsman division will be competing only in the 150 as there will be no sportsman points feature as previously scheduled.

Enduro fans will see the second Enduro of the the year this Sunday at 2pm. Pre-registration for the event is significantly stronger than the season opener so fans can expect to see a great car count this Sunday! There is no Sunday raindate for the Martins Sportsman 150 schedule for Saturday night of the doubleheader so in the event on inclement weather on Saturday the Enduro will still run on Sunday weather permitting.
