Fredericton, NB: Racing only part-time this season, Josh Arbeau of Burton led all 75 laps to take the RV World Street Stock 75.
Starting the race alongside Rick Cashol of Saint John Arbeau held off Cashol for the first 10 laps before Cashol fell back a few spots. He would fall to the back of the field before eventually pitting midway through the race. Kevin McKeen of Upper Kingsclear moved into second, but Arbeau was too strong and opened up his lead.
McKeen would end up with an eventual second place finish, while third place finisher Benji Ruff of Carlow worked his way from a fifth place starting spot to third on lap 66 passing Peter Martin of Saint John.
Fredericton N.B. – Coming off their only off weekend of the racing season, Speedway 660 will see the RV World Street Stock cars in the Street Stock 75 this weekend.
Speedway 660 will see another winner in the 75 lap feature as Peter Gaddess, last year’s winner has moved into the Sportsman division, making room for a new winner.
Four-time track champion and reigning champion Rick Cashol has been trading the points lead this season with Benji Ruff so these two can be expected to make a strong push for the victory.
Regular points racing will take place in the O’Leary Auto Group Pro Stock, Martins Home Heating Sportsman, Hanwell Village Mart Bandolero, and 4 Cylinder divisions as the final push for the points championships begins this weekend as well.

RV World Street Stock’s Rule!
Our mid-summer break is almost over and this weekend Speedway 660 kicks off its stretch run. The RV World Street Stock 75 is the highlight of Saturday night’s racing program. You will also see the Hanwell Village Mart Bandoleros, 4 cylinders, Martin’s Home Heating Sportsman and O’Leary Auto Group Pro Stocks all racing for championship points.
But it’s the street stockers who will be front and center with their biggest race of the year. Most of the time street stocks play 3rd fiddle behind the Sportsman and Pro Stockers, but not this Saturday. The “ultimate creature feature” is 75 laps and that’s almost four times as long as their regular 20 lappers.
