Kid’s Day and the West Wood Estates 25 lap Bando Blast will highlight race night at Speedway 660 on Saturday. The racing begins at 6:30PM, but kids of all ages are invited to a pre-race autograph session with the drivers, beginning at 5:30PM. Speedway 660 has run a Weekly Pro Stock Division ever since we dropped the first green flag in the Geary Woods back in 1994. (June 14, 2015) Speedway 660’s double-header weekend ended with an exciting Capital City Auto Parts ENDURO 200 on Sunday afternoon. Jesse Madore worked his way to the front of the field during the second 75 lap segment and put on a dominating performance in the final 75 laps to seal the win.
(June 13, 2015) Greg Fahey served notice, on Saturday night, that he will be a championship contender at Speedway 660 in 2015. Fahey, who has three Re/Max Pro Stock championships, drove to an impressive win in the 50 lap feature.
(June 9, 2015) It wasn’t all that long ago that stock car racing was considered a man’s sport. But those days sure have changed at Speedway 660. For years Heidi Cooper was the lone female racer in the Geary Woods, but now there are several successful young ladies taking the sport by storm. Wade Wilson recently caught up with one of them.
The first race of the New Brunswick Short Track Challenge was certainly entertaining. It had two or three long green flag stretches, a couple of clusters of cautions and a dramatic finish! With ten to go the Martin’s Home Heating 100 didn’t turn out the way most of us thought it was going to and as Yogi Bera is famous for saying: “It ain’t over till it’s over”.
One of the season’s biggest Sportsman races is scheduled for Saturday night at Speedway 660. The Martin’s Home Heating 100 is the first event in a three race series at three different tracks. The driver who accumulates the most points in races at Speedway 660, Petty International Raceway and Speedway Miramichi will be crowned the New Brunswick Short Track champion. Continue reading
(June 2, 2015) We’re seeing a few more Sportsman drivers at Speedway 660 this year. A couple of veterans are returning after a year off and there are at least two rookies stepping into Sportsman rides. One of those rookies is no stranger to the Geary Woods. He won our very first Bandolero championship back in 2010 and in 2014 was the Atlantic Modified Tour Rookie of the Year and Champion!
