The first race of the New Brunswick Short Track Challenge was certainly entertaining. It had two or three long green flag stretches, a couple of clusters of cautions and a dramatic finish! With ten to go the Martin’s Home Heating 100 didn’t turn out the way most of us thought it was going to and as Yogi Bera is famous for saying: “It ain’t over till it’s over”.
One of the season’s biggest Sportsman races is scheduled for Saturday night at Speedway 660. The Martin’s Home Heating 100 is the first event in a three race series at three different tracks. The driver who accumulates the most points in races at Speedway 660, Petty International Raceway and Speedway Miramichi will be crowned the New Brunswick Short Track champion. Continue reading
(June 2, 2015) We’re seeing a few more Sportsman drivers at Speedway 660 this year. A couple of veterans are returning after a year off and there are at least two rookies stepping into Sportsman rides. One of those rookies is no stranger to the Geary Woods. He won our very first Bandolero championship back in 2010 and in 2014 was the Atlantic Modified Tour Rookie of the Year and Champion!
What a way to kick-off our 2015 Saturday night schedule! The Martin’s Home Heating 100 takes center stage and will feature the best Sportsman cars, drivers and teams from New Brunswick and beyond. This is always a great race and we can expect another dandy this weekend. Continue reading

May 28th, 2015: Sunday is special day for Speedway 660’s youngest fans and drivers. It’s Kid’s Day in the Geary Woods featuring a 25 lap Bando Blast. The racing begins at 2PM, but everyone is invited to arrive early for a pre-race autograph session in the pits between 1 and 1:45PM. May 25, 2015: It sure was nice to get back to Speedway 660 for the first race day of 2015. After being rained out on the 17th, everyone was more than a little ready to see some racing last Sunday. And we were treated to awesome action in the Riverview Ford Season Opener.

(May 12, 2015) : The little four cylinder, front wheel drive cars raised a few eyebrows when they took to the track a few years ago. But now the Fredericton Gun Shop Sharp Shooters are one of Speedway 660’s most competitive divisions. Heading into 2015, Neil Miousse is looking for a few more podium finishes and a top five in points. Wade Wilson caught up with Neil to talk about the upcoming season.
