Boudreau takes the Sharp Shooter 40!

(August 13, 2016) Kyle Boudreau picked a great time to win his first feature race at Speedway 660 in over two years. Boudreau held off all challengers to take the Fredericton Gun Shop Sharp Shooter 40 Saturday night. Brody Levesque drove home second, while Kyle MacKinnon had to settle for third.

“It’s been a long time between feature wins for us, but the wait was worth it because it’s pretty special to get to victory lane in the biggest sharp shooter race of the season” said Boudreau. “We won the championship last season without winning a feature race and we were beginning to wonder if we would ever win another one, so this victory tonight makes this entire race team pretty happy.”_DSC8905Kyle Boudreau spent most of Saturday night’s Fredericton Gun Shop Sharp Shooter 40 running side-by-side with Kyle MacKinnon. Boudreau sure picked a fine time to win his first sharp shooter feature race in more than two years!

Boudreau, who also won his qualifying heat race, was challenged throughout the race by Kyle MacKinnon. Then after a late race caution, Brody Levesque made the pass on MacKinnon, but was unable to chase down Boudreau. Matt Martin won the other sharp shooter heat race.

Greg Fahey won a very exciting Re/Max Group Four Realty Pro Stock race on Saturday night. Fahey, in pursuit of his fourth pro stock championship, out ran Brent Roy and Matt Harris for the victory. Harris and Glyn Nott won the pro stock heat races, while Roy took the CRF Chassis Rookie of the Race Award, presented by GD Fabrication.

Alexandra took the checkers in the 40 lap Martins Home Heating Sportsman race, while Courtney won the 30 lap DMR Auto Sales Street Stock race. Alexandra, who also won her heat race, beat Jacob Logan and Drew Greenlaw for the sportsman feature victory. Greenlaw won the other sportsman heat race.
