Officials at Speedway 660 made every effort to give the weather a chance to break however without fail it has won again. With very little precipitation showing on radars the rain has continued to fall all day, leaving officials no other choice but to cancel the event on July 18th, 2009. The 2nd Enduro of the year will be rescheduled for Sunday, August 9th, 2009 providing the Firecracker 150 runs the night before without being affected by weather. “We felt its the only option we have at this point”, said co-owner Steve Burns. “We’ve taken it on the chin along with the drivers and fans, it’s just part of the deal”, added Burns.
Next week the Maritime Pro Stock Tour revisits the Geary Woods to complete its previously rescheduled event from earlier in the summer.
