Speedway 660 officials have updated the 2014 racing schedule. Inclement weather, earlier in the season, forced the postponement of the Bando Blast 30 and the Street Stock 50. Those two races have now been added to other dates on the existing schedule.
The DMR Sales & Service Street Stock 50 will now be held on Saturday, July 26th. It will be part of the Best of the Best Pro Stock 150 show. The Westwood Estate Apartments 30 lap Bandolero Blast will now be held on Saturday, August 9th. It will be added to the Firecracker 150 Sportsman show. Both of these events have Sunday rain dates.
“There are only a few dates remaining and we want to make sure to get those important Street Stock and Bando races included in the 2014 schedule” said Speedway 660’s Max Roy. “Our fans really want to see these two divisions run their extended lap features and the drivers and their race teams want the opportunity to put on a great show for our fans.”
The DMR Auto Sales & Service Street Stock 50 will now be part of the Best of the Best Pro Stock 150 show. Fans can see these two awesome races on July 26th.
Speedway 660 officials feel the addition of the Bando and Street Stock races to existing race dates will work out nicely. The Bandos and Sharp Shooters already had July 26th off and the Re/Max Group Four Realty Pro Stock are not scheduled to run on August 9th.
“It would have made for an extra long night if we had added these extended lap features to a race date that already had all five of our divisions on the schedule” said Max Roy. “With only three divisions scheduled for July 26th and four scheduled for August 9th we feel those were the best opportunities to reschedule these important Street Stock and Bando races.”
The Westwood Esate Apartments Bando Blast 30 will now be held on Saturday, August 9th. It will be part of the Martin’s Home Heating Sportsman Firecracker 150 show.
Championship points are on the line for the Bando Blast 30, the Street Stock 50 and the Best of the Best Pro Stock 150. Thirty championship show points will be awarded to each Martin’s Home Heating Sportsman race team that participates in the Firecracker 150.
