Fredericton N.B. – This Saturday June 4, 2011, Speedway 660 will host a full day of excitement. Fans won’t just see excitement on the track, but the young races fans will have double the excitement with the Kids Day festivities. DQ has hopped on board for another year with Speedway 660 to sponsor the kid’s day festivities.
The evening’s events will begin with an “In-the-Pits” pre-race autograph session from 5:30pm-6:15pm, where kids get to meet, have pictures taken and get autographs from their favourite drivers. This is a chance for the young race fans to talk to the drivers as they are not permitted to go in the pit area under the age of 16 during the races. The drivers especially look forward to the opportunity of meeting their race fans and sign autographs for the kids. This is a chance for the drivers to interact with their youngest fans for an extended period prior to the race. The drivers rarely get to leave the pit area as they are usually busy with pre-race meetings and the preparing their cars for the night’s events.
Some of the festivities will be the ever so popular candy scramble on the front stretch during intermission. This will give the youngsters an opportunity to fill their sweet tooth for the evening. Our Speedway 660 mascot Speedway the Moose, will also be on hand to meet and greet with the fans. Speedway has been a hit with the race faces each weekend. So if you see Speedway, don’t hesitate to give him a high five.
Race fans; be sure to bring your cameras and autograph books. It will be a night of racing that you won’t want to miss.
