O’blenis Wants Another Crack at PASS on Home Turf!

Fredericton, NB – Seven odd years ago (2002) Speedway 660 fans were watching time trials for the PASS race when local favourite Dave O’blenis rolled onto the track to take his lap and see where he would start the event.  To the pleasure of the fans in attendance O’blenis laid down a blistering lap that would have put him on the pole ….. with one exception!  PASS favourite and multi-time PASS champion Ben Rowe laid down a lap that beat O’blenis’ by a mere one thousand of a second (and set a track record of 13.152)…..  “When we laid that lap down in qualifying I could hear the fans screaming form inside the car, it was pretty awesome!”  said O’blenis.

O’blenis leads Louis Mechalides around under yellow early in the 2002 event!
